Minutes of Meeting

 

July 11th, 2007

 

Welcome - The meeting was called to order by Doc O'Connor, Vice President.  The attendees were Kent Kierman, HOA President; Ed Bennett, Treasurer; Anina McMurdo, Landscaping & Webmaster; Chelan Jenness, Secretary; Karen Maguire, Homeowner; Neil and Teresa Levine, Homeowners.

 

June meeting minutes were approved.

 

Treasurer report approved.

 

A motion was passed to accept fence replacement bid from City Wide.  Fence replacement will be contracted with City Wide for a total of $21,496.  They require a 50% down payment which Ed will write a check for.  Fence description: heavy 8-gauge wire chair link, galvanized, black powder coated, 6’ high, 907’ long, with 2 personnel gates and 1 double wide service gate.  Fence will extent 20’ into woods past barrier.

 

 

We are still waiting for reimbursement for the damaged fence because of the construction on 228th.  Doc will send fence repair bids to our attorney to be sent with a letter to the city of Sammamish.

 

Anina reported that the parts to fix the master valve were received.

 

The benches and picnic table for the park will be installed in September.

 

Please welcome our new board member Karen!  She will be taking over the C, C &R’s position.  Karen has volunteered to begin sending our violation notices as well as go to peoples homes to discuss violations.

 

New ideas for making our neighborhood a better place to live:

-        Pick a home each quarter that has done a good job beautifying their yard and announce winner on the website.

-        Landscape the pipeline entrance with low maintenance shrubs.

-        Post the HOA website address on the mailboxes to encourage homeowners to play a more active role keeping our neighborhood beautiful.  Ed will call John Snyder with the USPS to see if this is possible.

 

Regarding Tract E, Kent will compose a letter to send out to homeowners by Friday.  The letter will include a return post card to vote.  We will need 2/3rds homeowner approval vote to adjust the property line.
